GCT’s Parade of Trains / National Train Day 2013

I had a great time today at Grand Central Terminal’s Parade of Trains. Even with all the setbacks (I’ll explain later), I still had a great time. And I’d go again if my Architecture Studio final wasn’t due in less that 5 days.

However, I’m really, really tired. So I’ll upload the photos I took today in the morning.

But, I’ll leave all of you a little teaser…

Happy National Train Day everyone!

Today I was photographing some of my architecture schoolwork for my portfolio. This required me to borrow my brother’s tripod and lamp, and also required a backdrop to be set up…

Because I already had everything set up after I finished photographing my work, I figured why not try photographing some of my model railway equipment. So look for for those photos later tomorrow, er, later today…

This is NJT Train #1213, which terminates at Waldwick. It leaves Hoboken at 05:13pm, which is 1 minute before my train leaves. Often, we “race” it to Secaucus Junction, and we normally overtake it.
I took this just as we left Secaucus, so I fumbled getting my camera out of my bag…

Leaving Hoboken. It was a dreary wet afternoon. You can usually see the Lower Manhattan and 1 WTC on a good day.
